Two years after leaving the Navy, Aroha found her regional chapter — and a reason to leave the house on Tuesdays again.
“I kept telling myself I didn’t need it,” Aroha says. “Then I turned up to one Tuesday meet-up and realised how long it had been since I’d talked to anyone who just got it, without me having to explain anything first.”
She’s now a regular at her local chapter and has started bringing a friend along.
